Join the Technicians’ Network Steering group

If you are interested in becoming more involved in the Technicians’ Network, and would like to participate in shaping the future of technical staff read on to find out about the steering group.

With the recent launch of the Technicians Commitment it is a great time to be a technician at the University and the Technicians’ Network would like to capitalise on this surge of interest to help promote the technical community.

The Technicians’ Network is run by a steering group that meets once a month to discuss and plan events, technician issues and help to implement the Technicians Commitment at the University.

The steering group are comprised of members of the technical community from different Faculties ranging from Technical Services managers to research technicians; everyone has an equal voice and all input is valuable.

We are hoping to increase the numbers of people who attend the steering group and we would like a wide representation of technical staff from across all the Faculties. This is your chance to have your say and be part of a group wanting to support technicians. There is no pressure to attend every meeting, any contribution from you will be gratefully received, whether you have time to help out with activities or just the ability to spread word of mouth among your colleagues.
