Shelley Walmsley

Colleagues will be sorry to learn of the death of Shelley Walmsley, former Student Education Services Manager.

Her colleagues have contributed the following tribute:

Shelley was a vibrant, warm and well respected member of Student Education, who made a difference to all she worked with through her vitality and positive approach to work and life. Shelley worked at the University of Leeds for 13 years: her first eight years were spent in the Business School, transforming Student Support, and she then moved to manage the largest single School SES resource in the University, the School of Medicine, as the Student Education Services Manager.

Alongside her successful career, Shelley was a loving wife to Pete, a proud mother to Olive, a keen sportswoman and an active Justice of the Peace. Never one to waste a minute, Shelley lived life to the full, always with a wonderful smile, which we will never forget.

A celebration of her life will be held on Monday 26 February at Rawdon Crematorium, Leeds Road, LS19 6JP at 2.20pm; followed by refreshments at Café Sylva, Louis House, Princes Avenue, Roundhay, LS8 2FA from 4pm.

The family would like to request no flowers but would respectfully request donations in lieu of flowers to St Gemma’s hospice, which provided exceptional care for Shelley and continues to support her family. Donations can be made via fullcirclefunerals.co.uk/donations or at the Crematorium.

For catering purposes, could you let either Terry Owens or Angela Tattam Know if you would like to attend.
