USS pension: information sessions February 2018

We have arranged another series of information sessions aimed at USS scheme members. You can sign up now. Sessions will be hosted by independent experts, Mercer, on 12 and 19 February 2018.

In January, the USS Joint Negotiating Committee (JNC) reached a decision about USS scheme reform, by the casting vote of its independent chair, in support of a revised proposal from Universities UK (UUK)*.

Following this development, we recognise that scheme members may have new questions, so we have arranged a further series of impartial information sessions.

The purpose of these sessions is to:

  • remind USS members of the key details of the current and proposed scheme
  • advise about the anticipated next steps in the member consultation process
  • and most importantly, give scheme members an opportunity to ask question of the independent pension experts who will run the sessions.
