General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) - information and training
The GDPR are coming into force in May 2018. You'll need to think about their effect on how you deal with data. A new webpage sets out the University's advice and sources of further help.
The new webpage, which you'll find on the Secretariat website, summarises what the University is doing to make sure that we comply with the GDPR and what individual staff members need to do.
Your starting point should be to complete your Information Security Essentials training.
If you want more detailed information on data security, videos of a workshop introducing the main elements of the GDPR can also be found on the new page.
Further updates, together with a training video relating particularly to research and data protection, will be added to the page in the New Year, so keep checking.
