A “thank you” for scholarships
More than three hundred alumni, donors, scholars, staff and guests gathered for the Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarships Reception which was held in the Great Hall, on Thursday 7 December.
The event is an annual pre-Christmas celebration of all the benefits which scholarships bring to the University – supporting hundreds of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and providing opportunities for students to develop their talents in research, enterprise and sport.
The event gives donors the chance to meet the scholars who they support, and is the University’s way of saying a heartfelt “thank you” for all the benefits which donors bring to our community.
