Big White Wall

An award-winning digital mental health service, Big White Wall offers 24/7 support with trained counsellors online at all times, as well as a range of helpful resources.

Training webinars are available for staff who want to understand the range of emotional wellbeing and/or mental health support on Big White Wall and be able to confidently recommend it to students. They will cover an introduction to all aspects of the service including the art and writing therapies available, Guided Support courses, and how students can gain access to the service:

Resources on Big White Wall include Guided Support programmes that are designed to help people tackle a range of issues such as depression, anxiety or negative thinking. There are also courses available on physical health issues such as stopping smoking or reducing alcohol consumption. 

The service also offers anonymous peer and community support, moderated and facilitated by trained counsellors.

More than three quarters of members feel better as a result of using the service and nearly 90% use Big White Wall outside of 9am-5pm.

To join the supportive online community, simply go to bigwhitewall.com and sign up with your University email address. You then choose an anonymous username for your time on Big White Wall.
