Funding to spark collaboration with Mexican universities

Researchers who wish to visit universities in Mexico to meet new potential collaborators are invited to apply for the position of Visiting Chair, at one of 12 Mexican universities.

Leeds is part of a Russell Group consortium that has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with 12 leading Mexican universities, in order to improve research collaboration and strengthen relationships. The arrangement allows UK researchers to travel to Mexico for up two weeks each year in order to spark new working relationships, as a Visiting Chair. Read more about the agreement.

Researchers with a doctoral degree in STEM subjects, the social sciences or humanities can now apply to take part in the arrangement.

Activities encouraged for the Visiting Chair include: attendance at workshops, research symposia and conferences, as well as meetings to scope collaboration, share best practice or develop new initiatives.
