University of the Year #ToBeLeeds

The exceptional student experience we offer at Leeds saw us named University of the Year 2017 by The Times and The Sunday Times and now we’ve launched the next phase of our campaign to celebrate this.

This new phase in our University of the Year campaign explores what it means #ToBeLeeds, with contributions from students and staff showcased in several short videos.

When naming us as University of the Year, The Sunday Times cited our commitment to research-based learning, investment in campus facilities, student support and the way our students are prepared for life after university.  So our new videos and other content focus on these factors. The continued contributions and innovations of staff at Leeds were crucial to this award, so it’s only right that we want colleagues to take part…

Share your story at Staff Festival 2017

At this year’s Staff Festival, there will be a University of the Year video booth, where you can come and share your story about what it means #ToBeLeeds.

You’ll be asked “What makes you proud to work at the University of Leeds?” and then given 15 seconds to respond to camera.

We will then approve and send your clip to you by email so you can post on your own Facebook or Twitter feeds if you want to.

Some clips may also be chosen to be shared via the University social media platforms as part of the #ToBeLeeds campaign.

(Usage permissions will be sought before you record a video clip.)

This new phase in the campaign builds on the success of the original University of the Year film.  You can view it on the University’s YouTube channel.
