New Student Education Programme Director appointed

Sarah Lund has been appointed as the University’s Student Education Programme Director with effect from September 2017.

Sarah’s career spans almost 20 years, working in project and programme management in the strategy, sustainability and regulatory fields. She is an environmental scientist by academic background (BSc Environmental Biogeoscience - University of Leeds 1997, MSc. Environmental Science - UEA 1998) and more recently has completed her EMBA at Leeds University Business School (LUBS 2015).  

For the last 14 years, Sarah has been working for the Kelda Group (the parent company of Yorkshire Water) where her roles have involved programme management of the five-year Price Review for the water sector, ‘Operational Excellence’ improvement programmes and leadership of the programme determining the long term strategic direction for the Group.  For the last 4 years she has held the post of Head of Strategy, Risk and Assurance focusing on ensuring the alignment and assurance of the organisation’s vision, strategic objectives and change programmes to achieve enhanced organisational effectiveness.

Working with members of the University Executive Group, Sarah will play a pivotal role in leading the delivery of this key strategic programme, providing specialist leadership skills to facilitate and lead transformational change in order to achieve our strategic outcomes.
