ERC=Science² Public Lectures

The ERC=Science² project are running monthly public lectures, delivered by European Research Council grant-holders at Leeds.

The ERC=Science² project is a communications campaign to raise awareness of and celebrate European Research Council funding across Europe.

The first lecture, 'Cosmic Dust - From Stars to Climate', with Professor John Plane, will take place on 15 February. This lecture will explore the origins of cosmic dust in the solar system, its impacts on the Earth’s atmosphere and its role as an indicator of rapid climate change.

The second lecture 'Forgotten Transcultural Entertainment Industry' is on 15 March, which will investigate the massive enthusiasm for English versions of operettas from the German stage between 1907–38, when over 60 productions were given in the West End and over 70 on Broadway.

More lectures are to be announced.
