National Student Survey 2017 is live

The NSS 2017 has now launched at Leeds.

The survey is open to eligible undergraduates until the end of April and is available now at

The survey should take no more than ten minutes to complete and students responding online receive 100 free printer credits for their participation.

The NSS is a student experience survey of undergraduates (normally in their final year) in England, Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland. Now in its thirteenth year, the NSS is a nationally recognised annual survey which provides students with an opportunity to give their honest opinions on what they like about their time on their course, as well as things that they feel could be improved. This feedback is used internally as part of our ongoing review of our provision, and externally to help inform the choices of future applicants to higher education. The survey is administered by Ipsos Mori, an independent market research agency, so answers remain anonymous at all times.

The questionnaire has undergone some changes since last year, with some questions removed and new sections added relating to engagement and student voice. However the format remains the same, asking students the extent to which they agree with a series of statements about their educational experience at Leeds. Results will be available in August.

Responses to student surveys are very important to the University.  Individual Schools and Faculties have compiled action plans in response to last year’s student feedback, including the NSS and internal Programme Survey.
