Student Engagement Showcase 2016

Twelve inspiring undergraduate students from across all faculties will be sharing their stories of student engagement at Leeds, at a showcase held on 23 November.

Engagement is complex and comes in many forms. Whether it is through an out-of-the-ordinary module, getting involved in a research scholarship, or setting up their own enterprise, the showcase will create a platform for these achievements to be expressed and inspire others. It will demonstrate how students have broadened their experience at Leeds and how staff have helped them to expand their horizons.

This year two students from the Leeds to New York Student Leadership Programme will be presenting, as well as students that have participated in years abroad and years in industry. A full running order for the day can be found on the Facebook page.

It will also feature an interactive workshop designed to encourage staff and students to get talking. This will be followed by refreshments and the opportunity to meet the speakers and other participants.

Last year's event featured speakers from Leeds Student Radio, the Study China Programme and Welfare. There is a blog post featuring interviews with each speaker, and the Leeds Student Engagement Showcase's YouTube channel provides video highlights.

The event will be held in Michael Sadler LG10, on Wednesday 23 November at 2pm (doors open 1.45pm).

Tickets are free, but you must book online.  For more information, please email the Leeds Student Engagement team.

Students, academics and staff from across the University and Union are all welcome.
