Pint of Science 2017 volunteers needed

Plans for the 2017 Pint of Science festival are underway and the organisers are seeking volunteers to deliver interesting talks on the latest science research in an accessible format - in the pub.

Pint of Science provides a platform which allows people to discuss research with the people who carry it out - no prior knowledge of the subject is required. It is run mainly by volunteers and was established by a community of postgraduate and postdoctoral researchers in 2012.  Next year's main festival will take place on 16, 17and 18 May, simultaneously in pubs across the world.

Organisers from the University's would like to recruit a few more PhD and postdoc volunteers to join their team and help to expand the number of events and range of topics they are able to offer. At the moment the team is made up mostly of people from physical and earth sciences, so volunteers from science, social science or engineering backgrounds are especially welcome.
