Light Night success
More people attended events on the University campus for Leeds Light Night on Friday than in any previous year.

Charlotte Haigh, Academic Lead for Public Engagement, said: Light Night provides an opportunity for the University to welcome people onto the campus to share the cultural events on offer.
I am very pleased that the University offered a greater number of events on campus than ever before attracting more people to come along and engage with a large variety of cultural activities.
The University was the largest contributor of activities in the Councils programme this year. It was a great success and there was a fantastic atmosphere across campus.
A city-wide initiative, Light Night includes events all over the city. This year the University hosted 14 events at venues across the campus including Clothworkers Courtyard, the Parkinson Building, stage@leeds and the School of Fine Art.
