Protest outside Central Village residences
Overnight on Thursday 6 October a number of protesters from the Tent City group established a small camp outside the University’s Central Village student residences off Calverley Street.
The group has moved around three city centre locations in the last fortnight and is protesting about homelessness. Its protest has no relation to the University’s activities, staff or students.
Security officers have been put in place throughout the day and night to support student residents until the protestors move on.
