Trials of weekly fire alarm testing
Following a review of the University’s fire safety management system, a trial is taking place in a number of campus buildings to explore the impact of weekly fire alarm testing.
Estates Services are discussing the process with all the relevant areas and will communicate details of when and how the tests will take place. Support for colleagues helping to run the trials will also be provided. All staff in affected areas should now be aware that the fire alarm sounder will operate on a weekly basis.
