David Murdoch, MA
Colleagues will be sorry to learn of the death, on 17 July 2016, of David Murdoch, former Senior Lecturer in the School of History.
David came to the University in 1964 as an Assistant Lecturer. He was appointed as Lecturer in 1967 and Senior Lecturer in 1991. David retired in 1996, at which time he became a Principal Teaching Fellow until 2006.
The funeral service will be held at 1.40pm on Friday 29 July at Stonefall Crematorium, Wetherby Road, Harrogate, HG3 1DE, on which day the flag on the Parkinson Building will be flown at half-mast in David’s memory.
