Staff Festival 2016 workshops and taster sessions

Beer tasting – £5 per person

There will be a chance to win a crate of beers after trying a selection of four beers during this 45-minute session.

  • 3-3.45pm
  • 4-4.45pm
  • 5-5.45pm
  • 6-6.45pm

Flower arranging – £2 per person
Give country flower arranging a go at this workshop. Participants will make a country posy display in a jar with ribbon decorations to take away with you. There are only 12 places available per session.

  • 5.30-6.30pm

Indian head massage and Reflexology – £5 per person
Come along to one of the 20-minute taster sessions and experience these techniques of massaging to aid stress relief. The sessions will be available in 20-minute slots from 1-6.30pm.

Chinese craft workshops - £2 per person
The Business Confucius Institute at the University invites you to a Chinese Craft Workshop at this year’s Staff Festival. Come along and learn how to make beautiful Chinese knots, or have a go at creating a charming Chinese bracelet at one of two sessions:

  • 4 - 5pm
  • 5 - 6pm

You will also learn about the cultural and historic background behind these two traditional crafts as you are guided through the process of creating your own knot or bracelet by experienced instructors.

All workshops and taster sessions have to be booked in advance by 12pm on Wednesday 6 July. Payment is cash only and bookings can be made by emailing the Staff Festival team or in person at the LOGIK Satellite, Room 10.50 (entrance A, Level 10 EC Stoner building between staircase 2 and 3 on the red route). Please take payments to the LOGIK Satellite. 

Please note: places are not confirmed until you receive an email confirmation and the fee has been paid.

All booking fees will be donated to the charity Simon on the Streets.
