Anyone interested in this exciting project will be able to see the proposed development plans and hear more about the intention to establish Leeds as the primary UK centre for cycling and triathlon.

The impressive new development, open for use by staff, students and members of the public, will include the development of an outdoor closed loop cycling track located on the University Bodington playing fields in north Leeds. There will be a cutting edge, 1.6km tarmac cycle track and refurbished pavilion, part of which will be used as a base for British Triathlon’s elite training centre.

The project will be funded in partnership with UK Sport and British Cycling who are set to contribute £1M. This aspiring facility will contribute to the University’s aims to become sector leading through exceptional delivery of sporting experiences for staff and students.

The Sport and Physical Activity team will be in attendance on the day to provide further information.
