The University Council has approved funding for refurbishment of the existing Bodington Sports Pavilion and the creation of a purpose-built, closed-loop cycle track.  We are now in the process of applying for the necessary planning consents from Leeds City Council, but before submitting our application we are inviting feedback from the local community on our plans.

The refurbished Pavilion will provide much more modern changing facilities as well as training facilities, treatment rooms and office accommodation for British Triathlon's elite training centre.

The 1.6km cycle track will loop around the Sports Park's pitches and will be open for use cyclists of all abilities amongst students, staff and the public.

It is anticipated that work could begin in April this year, with completion expected in the autumn.

If you would like to attend the consultation event, it will take place:

On:  Tuesday 9 February

Between:  4-7pm

At:   Weetwood Pavilion
