Applications are now open for Leeds Creative Labs

The DARE edition of Leeds Creative Labs will explore new collaborations, to demonstrate the relevance of the Arts in showcasing research and developing research impact.

DARE is a unique collaboration between Opera North and the University, and this edition of Labs will match academics or academic teams from all faculties with an artist from one of three performing arts organisations in the North.

Successful applicants will be supported to work with performing artists and organisations for a short, intensive period of collaborative development. It will explore the themes and findings of your research in new and creative ways, whist discovering the potential for developing your own practice and impact of your research.

Leeds Creative Labs is part of a long-term programme of collaboration between the University and the creative and cultural industries across the North, aiming to:

  • Spark collaborations between academics and innovators to find new ways to showcase academic research to achieve broad public impact
  • Increase our understanding of how the arts and technology might inform and support research relevant to contemporary society
  • Create new work and methodologies through collaboration.

To take part in this opportunity to build relationships with creative partners, please apply via the Leeds Creative Labs website. Applications to the DARE Edition of the Leeds Creative Labs are open until 21 January 2016.
