University Campus Developments Website now live
A brand new website showcasing the University’s plans to transform the campus has been launched.
Over the coming years the University will invest £520m in a transformative campus developments programme. This ambitious plan will result in a world class campus at the heart of a vibrant city, where visitors arriving will recognise our commitment to invest in knowledge and cutting edge research.
A total of 19 new development sites will complement the current buildings within the mature city-centre campus, already rich in architecture and character and with the potential of providing circa 80,000sqm of additional space.
Complementing this is the significant refurbishment of existing buildings, particularly those developed in the 1960’s during a period of accelerated growth.
With individual project investments ranging from £90k to £90m, completed projects already include The Laidlaw Library, the Multi Storey car park and the Treasures of the Brotherton Gallery, which are both due to open early 2016.
