Communal observance of a minute’s silence for victims of Paris terror attacks

A minute’s silence is to be observed across Europe at 11.00 this morning for the victims of terrorist attacks in Paris.

Staff and students are invited to congregate outside the Union Building by 10.55am to observe the minute’s silence together.  The victims of other recent terrorist attacks will also be remembered.

The flag on the Parkinson Building has been at half mast since Saturday, and will remain so during France’s period of National Mourning.

Leeds City Council is also organising an event at the same time in Victoria Gardens.
