Important change to the Immigration Rules
On 29 October the Home Office laid before Parliament a package of changes to the Immigration Rules.
Please note the following important changes relating to settlement:
- Indefinite leave and naturalisation applicants, who normally rely on an English language qualification will be required to take a Secure English Language Test
- The introduction of the £35k minimum earnings threshold for Tier 2 settlement, which will come into force on 6 April 2016.
Full details of the changes are available on the UK Visas and Immigration website.
