Brian Heaton
Colleagues will be sorry to learn of the death, on 11 October 2015, of Brian Heaton, former Director of the English Language Unit.
Brian was a graduate of the University (BA (hons) English, 1952; Graduate Certificate in Education, 1953) and returned in 1968 to a post of Lecturer for Overseas Students. He took early retirement in 1991.
The funeral service will be held at 1.00pm on Saturday 17 October 2015 at the Church of Immaculate Conception, Sicklinghall, LS22 4BD, on which day the flag on the Parkinson Building will be flown at half-mast in his memory.
