Leeds continues to climb university league tables

The University has moved up 13 places in this year's Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

Leeds now ranks joint 133rd in the table: up from 146th place last year.

The Rankings consider five different aspects of higher education:

  • teaching
  • research
  • citations
  • industry income
  • international outlook
Looking at these areas separately, our highest rankings were in teaching (129th position) and international outlook (131st position).

The THE World University Rankings draw on data from 1,126 institutions across the world, taking into account 11.3 million academic papers and over 11,000 academic survey responses.  The full rankings can be found online or in a special supplement to the THE published today (1 October).
