Anne Clarke
Celebrating the University's 'Women of Achievement 2015': Anne Clarke, postgraduate student, MSc in Transport Planning, Institute of Transport Studies.

Anne studied for an MSc in Transport (Sustainability) between 2012-2013 and graduated with a distinction. Her dissertation research was highly innovative, focusing on the full social cost benefit appraisal of the governments Bike to Work scheme, through which employees can purchase a bike via their employer using a salary sacrifice scheme.
Anne was awarded the externally sponsored MVA Transport Prize for best student in Transport Planning and Sustainability and a STAR conference prize for the best paper from a young professional/author under 30 in 2014.
Anne is currently developing her conference paper into a journal submission whilst working for Arup Consultancy where she is working as a Transport Planner.
Less than 20% of home/EU Transport Planning students are female which makes Annes nomination an even bigger achievement.
