Leeds Summer Ball - campus arrangements

The Leeds students Summer Ball takes place on Saturday 6 June 2015. Access to some areas of campus will be affected from Friday 5 June onwards.

Friday 5 June

From 10am onwards, work will be underway to erect a tent on University Square outside the LUU Building.

From 4pm onwards, another tent will be erected on Beech Grove Plaza.  Access to both University Square and the Plaza will be maintained, but you may not always be able to take the most direct route across them.  There will be stewards on site to direct you.

From 6pm until 8am on Sunday morning, cycle racks:

  • on University Square
  • around the Social Sciences Building
  • on University Road from Beech Grove Plaza to the end of the Clothworkers buildings

will be out of action.  Alternative cycle racks will be available outside the Parkinson Building and on University Road next to the Psychology Building. 

From 8pm on Friday until 6.30am on Sunday 7 June, the disabled parking bays at the front of the Ziff Building will be unavailable.  Alternative disabled parking bays can be found outside the School of Music and the Clothworkers' Centenary Concert Hall.

Saturday 6 June

Setting up will continue all day around the LUU Building, University Square and the Beech Grove Plaza.

From 6pm on Saturday until 6.30am on Sunday, there will be restricted access to:

  • University Square
  • Beech Grove Plaza
  • Beech Grove Terrace
  • University Road from Beech Grove Terrace to the end of the Clothworkers buildings
