Staff can make big savings with NUS Extra
With summer approaching, now is the perfect time for University staff to take advantage of purchasing the NUS Extra card.
With an NUS Extra card, staff are eligible for student concessions along with a range of exclusive discounts at top retailers, tour operators, attractions and restaurant chains.
With over 160 brands offering discounts, cardholders can get 10% off their shopping at the Co-Operative supermarket, a 10% reduction at online fashion retailer ASOS and up to 40% off at Pizza Express. See a full list of current discounts.
All staff at the University are eligible for a card which costs £12 for 12 months from the day of purchase, so there’s no need to wait until the next academic year. Two and three year cards are also available at £22 and £32 respectively.
For an additional £2.99, staff can upgrade their card to an International Student Identity Card (ISIC) opening them up to a range of concessions on accommodation and activities in over 130 countries.
To purchase a card go to the NUS Extra webpage and click buy your card now. Then it's simply a case of working your way through the instructions.
You'll need either a webcam or recent photo ready as well as your debit or credit card for payment. Your place of study is Leeds University Union, and when it asks for your course level and course discipline please select other.
Your card will arrive at the Leeds University Union Helpdesk within five working days. To collect your card you will need to show the helpdesk staff your University of Leeds staff card.
