There is a wide variety of subject areas to choose from, including creative writing, current affairs, literature, language, culture and more.  Our provision is aimed at adults of any age who are keen to widen their interests, develop their creativity or increase their knowledge.

Five courses will start on campus in the week beginning Monday 8 June and run for between four and six weeks.  The six-week courses cost £40 at the full fee, with a concessionary fee available of £20.  The four-week courses cost £34 at the full fee, with a concessionary fee available of £17.  We are also offering a one-day workshop on short stories, which costs £17 at the full fee with a concessionary fee available of £8.50.

Don’t forget that all staff on grades 2 to 4 can apply for funding for our fee-paying courses and workshops through the ‘Learning for Life’ scheme.

In addition to our fee-paying courses and workshops we are delighted to be working with expert staff from throughout the University to offer some FREE one-off sessions on a diverse selection of topics ranging from the First World War, austerity and the ‘New Atheism’ to environmental and sustainability issues.

Spring into Summer is part of the public engagement work undertaken by the LLC so please do pass the information on to your friends, family and any wider networks of which you are a part.

Registration opens on Monday 13 April and places are limited so early booking is advised.  For more information please see our Spring into Summer webpage or contact Georgina Collins (36892).
