Media training for mid-career researchers

There are still places left on the Economic and Social Research Council’s (ESRC) media training day.

Mid-career researchers have the opportunity to meet experts in broadcast, print and social media, who offer advice on how to reach new audiences with their work. Training days aim to be fun as well as informative and build confidence in a safe and supportive environment.

During the training day, attendees will learn:

  • How to find a news angle in their research
  • Ways working with the media can aid research, including its impact on both policy and practice
  • How to take control of an interview confidently

The ESRC Mid-career research media training day will be in Leeds on Thursday 26 February at the Met Hotel from 9.30am to 4.30pm. Lunch will be provided and after the training, attendees will be sent an mp3 recording of their interviews.
