Opportunity for undergraduates to share research

Do you know of any undergraduates who would be interested in submitting a paper, poster, workshop or performance for possible inclusion in the British Conference of Undergraduate Research (BCUR)?

Founded in 2010, the BCUR promotes undergraduate research in all disciplines. Like any other academic conference, the event includes spoken papers, lectures, poster presentations and workshops but each one is delivered by undergraduate students presenting work they have done either as part of their course or as part of an internship.

For two days, delegates can talk to undergraduate researchers from their own disciplines, and also learn about how other disciplines approach research problems. The 2015 event is scheduled to take place at the University of Winchester on 20-21 April.

This is a great opportunity for our undergraduate students to meet students from other universities and share their work. All research is welcome at BCUR, in any discipline taught in Higher Education.

The deadline for abstracts is 15 December. Submissions will be peer-reviewed and the successful undergraduates invited to attend the conference.

Students can find more information and apply directly via the BCUR website. They can also contact Dr Andrea Jackson from the BCUR Steering Group (University of Leeds) for advice on producing an abstract.
