Road closures in Leeds City Centre - Tuesday 21 October

Leeds City Council is warning commuters and other road users to be aware of road closures around the Bridgewater Place junction on Tuesday 21 October.

The closure of the junction is planned for 9.45am until mid-afternoon due to the forecast of high winds affecting the Leeds area tomorrow.  The closure may start earlier if conditions worsen overnight or early in the morning.  Road users are being advised to allow longer for their journeys.

Leeds City Council will be reprogramming traffic lights to help reduce the disruption caused by any road closures, and road users will be alerted by warning signs from 5am. The junction will reopen once the wind strength has reduced to an acceptable level.

Conditions are also being monitored in other areas of the city centre, particularly around the Majestic building on City Square.
