University achieves gold standard for health and safety

The University has been awarded a prestigious Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents Gold Award for Occupational Health and Safety for the third year running.

The RoSPA Gold Award is awarded to organisations with excellent health and safety management systems and culture and a rigorous approach to occupational health. The programme recognises commitment to accident and ill health prevention and is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas.

All entries are judged by an expert panel drawn from the Health and Safety Executive, Institution of Occupational Safety and Health and Trades Union Congress as well as other national organisations.
