SEE accredited by Geological society
The School of Earth and Environment’s MSc Engineering Geology has received accreditation by the Geological Society.

The
Geological Society's Accreditation Scheme for taught MSc programmes
was introduced in 2007 and provides added assurance to prospective students
that a programme's teaching is of the highest quality, and has been approved by
an independent body of academics and industrialists.
An accredited degree will reduce the amount of experience
required for graduates to reach Chartered Geologist and Chartered Scientist
status, which is an important career step in Geoscience. This is in addition to
its existing ICE accreditation.
The University is one of only seven institutions with accredited
MsC programmes by the Geological Society. This is the second recognition for
the School of Earth and Environment, which received its first
accreditation for the MsC in Exploration Geophysics programme in March 2014.
