Council vacancies

The University is seeking nominations to the lay membership of its governing body, the Council, for 2014/15 and beyond.

Lay members are neither employees nor students of the University.

Lay members should bring specialist expertise at an appropriately senior level in one or more of the areas relevant to the University’s governance.  This includes, but is not limited to:

  • financial and auditing services
  • human resources and change management
  • health and safety matters
  • legal, health and education services
  • sustainability

and, in particular on this occasion, experience in, or knowledge of:

  • ‘big data’
  • internationalism
  • the third sector.

Nominations submitted for appointment to the Council may also be considered for membership of the Court.
