Woodhouse Lane bus route closure
As part of the ongoing construction of the new Library, it is necessary to close the part of the bus lane on Woodhouse Lane directly outside the current site hoarding from 24 May.
Preparatory work will take place over the Bank Holiday weekend (24-27 May) and will be completed by 28 May. The current hoarding line will move into the bus lane. A segregated pedestrian footpath will also be provided.
The bus lane will remain closed until 13 July and this may have an impact on the flow of traffic coming into the main campus entrance, particularly at busy times.
To facilitate access for visitors, the temporary fencing within the bus lane will be taken back to the line of the current hoardings for the University’s Open Days on 20, 21 and 27 June.
