The Leeds International Summer School (LISS) offers an opportunity for international and EU students to live and learn in Leeds for four weeks, while earning up to 20 credits towards their home degree.  LISS will run from 4 July - 3 August this year.

Last year 45 students from the USA, Canada, Australia, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Saudi Arabia and Europe took part and this year even more students are expected to join LISS.

All LISS modules are complemented by experiential field trips.  The 2014 modules range from ‘Building Britain, 1700-1840: Industrial ‘Revolution’ or ‘Evolution’ to ‘Electronic Music:  History and Practice’, from ‘Heretics, Witches & Conspirators: A History of Fear, 1500-1700’ to ‘Smartphone Applications’.

Outside of study, LISS students also have the opportunity to take part in a packed social programme and trips around the UK to destinations including York, Whitby and London.
