New Director of LIGHT
Professor Mark Kearney has been appointed as the next Director of the Leeds Institute of Genetics, Health and Therapeutics (LIGHT) with effect from 1 June 2014.
Professor Kearney holds a British Heart Foundation Chair in Cardiology, heading an exciting translational research group.
A crucial part of his role will be to align academic activity within LIGHT with the new School of Medicine research strategy, focusing on cardio-metabolic science, reproduction and development, whilst simultaneously nurturing crucial cross-cutting platforms such as informatics, biostatistics, imaging and epidemiology.
