Dr Bridgette Bewick

Celebrating the University's 'Women of Achievement 2013': Dr Bridgette Bewick, Associate Professor in Health Research, School of Medicine.


Dr Bewick is an active researcher in the field of addiction and a world expert on the use of the 'Social Norms Approach'.  Her track record of high quality publications has aided our understanding of how to incorporate personalised feedback and social norms messages into web-based interventions.

Bridgette is committed to high quality applied health research and is a joint-lead for the taught postgraduate programme in health research, which provides training in applied health research skills to NHS clinical health professionals and other professionals allied to medicine. 

In 2012 her significant contribution to the field of addiction research was recognised by her being awarded the Fred Yates Prize by the Society for the Study of Addiction.
