Jo currently holds the post of National Director: Human Resources and Organisational Development for NHS England, based in Leeds and London.

Notwithstanding the excellent academic and clinical cooperation that exists between the University and the health bodies in the Leeds City Region, we do not have a robust organisational model in place to secure the economic, social, academic and healthcare benefits that should accrue from working productively with such a wide range of NHS bodies*, all with a strong presence in and around the city. In the role of 'Organisational Development Consultant', Jo will play a key role in shaping a model of cooperation between the University and these bodies and will develop the underpinning policies and practices we need to ensure a more coherent approach for the future. She will also support the University in a range of other organisational development projects and will report to the Vice-Chancellor across the full range of her responsibilities.

Before taking up her current post at NHS England, Jo held a number of senior operational and strategic management posts in the NHS, broadly in the areas of human resources management, organisational development and communications. She is a graduate of the University of Liverpool and holds a masters degree in Strategic Human Resources Management from Durham University, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Public Relations from Leeds Metropolitan University.  She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Jo lives in West Yorkshire.
