Could you be a New Generation Thinker?

If you ever find yourself arguing with radio discussions, or you have a programme idea that would be perfect for the airwaves then the New Generation Thinkers scheme is for you.

On air light

The Arts & Humanities Research Council and BBC Radio 3 are looking for academics who would like the chance to develop an idea for a radio programme.

Applications for the New Generation Thinkers scheme will be open from Monday 6 January to Monday 6 February.

Up to 60 successful applicants will have a chance to develop their programme ideas with experienced BBC producers at a series of dedicated workshops and, of these up to 10 will become Radio 3’s resident New Generation Thinkers. They will benefit from a unique opportunity to develop their own programmes for BBC Radio 3 and a chance to regularly appear on air.

The New Generation Thinkers scheme also works with BBC TV Arts who will be looking to develop New Generation Thinkers and their ideas into arts television.

For further details, see the AHRC website.
