Shwopped 'til we dropped
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that took part in the 2-day Shwop At Work on Thursday 5 and Friday 6 December.
We are delighted to announce that we shwopped a fantastic 59 bags and an estimated 1,829 garments were donated. That’s 12 more bags than the record breaking total earlier in the year. Oxfam will now sort the clothing and turn your donations into cash to fund their work fighting poverty. The money raised could help an Oxfam project such as the development of backyard and rooftop gardens for 12 families in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
We would also especially like to thank the Sustainability and Facilities teams who found volunteers, helped to raise awareness across campus and ensured that all the logistics ran like clockwork. Shwopping is a great example of the partnership with M&S in action and the fantastic results that can be achieved when we work together.
