Emeritus Professor Lionel Cliffe - funeral details
As previously notified, Emeritus Professor Lionel Cliffe sadly died on 23 October 2013. We are now able to let colleagues know of the arrangements for his funeral service.
The funeral service will be held at 12.30pm on Monday 4 November 2013 at Grenoside Crematorium, 5 Skew Hill Lane, Grenoside, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, S35 8RZ. This will be followed by a celebration of his life, with reflections from friends and family, at Wortley Hall, Wortley Village, Wortley, S35 7DB, from 1.30pm. All who knew Lionel are welcome to both or either event.
Family flowers only please. Donations in Lionel’s memory may be given to the ‘Lionel Cliffe Memorial Research Scholarship’ (plates will be available at both venues) or, alternatively, via the Co-operative Bank (please mark donations accordingly): sort code 089075, account no. 50181461.
The flag on the Parkinson Building will be flown at half-mast on Monday next in memory of Professor Cliffe.
