Colleagues will be sorry to learn of the recent deaths of Dr Gordon Craggs and Mr Donald Peel.
Dr Gordon Craggs
Colleagues will be sorry to learn of the death, on 4 September 2013, of Dr Gordon Craggs, former Senior Lecturer for almost 30 years in the School of Mechanical Engineering. Dr Craggs retired in 1995.
The funeral service will be held in Bramhope Methodist Church at 11.30am on Monday 16 September 2013. Family Flowers only but there will be a collection for a children’s charity. The flag on the Parkinson Building will be flown at half-mast in Dr Cragg’s memory.
Mr Donald Peel
Colleagues will be sorry to learn of the death, on 9 September 2013, of Donald Peel, former Technical Manager in the Television Service.
Mr Peel was appointed as a Television Engineer within the School of Medicine in 1963, from where he transferred to the Television Service in 1966. He was promoted to Chief Technician in 1969 and became Technical Manager in 1985 until his retirement in 1992.
The funeral service will be held at 2.00pm on Monday 16 September 2013 at Nab Wood Crematorium, Bingley Road, Shipley, BD18 4BG, when the flag on the Parkinson Building will be flown at half-mast in Mr Peel’s memory.
