Love your city - Leave Leeds Tidy

As thousands of students move between properties or away from Leeds each summer, mass amounts of rubbish cause an unsightly mess on the streets surrounding the universities.

However, Leave Leeds Tidy, a project run by the council, universities, Unipol, and Leeds charities Emmaus and St Vincent’s, has helped save over 60 tonnes of unwanted items from ending up in landfill in the last five years.

Staff and students of the University will be out on the streets of Hyde Park and Headingley to collect unwanted goods throughout June,. These will go on to be recycled, redistributed to those in need, or resold in charity shops including the University’s own Love Leeds Charity Shop, located in the Student Union Building.
