Discounted open access publishing deals for researchers

The Library has subscribed to a number of institutional memberships and pre-payment schemes that reduce the cost of open access publication with selected publishers.

Institutional memberships

Institutional memberships offer discounts of up to 25% off the price of article processing charges (APCs) when you submit articles for open access publication. These discounts can be enjoyed by any University of Leeds researcher, including research students.

Pre-paid APCs

In addition, the Library has set up a number of pre-paid accounts with specific publishers. These accounts can be used by RCUK funded authors, including PhD students, provided their school has approved payment of APCs from their allocation of the RCUK block grant.
