LUU's Opera Society presents The Dragon of Wantley

Join OperaSoc for a fantastic performance of John Frederick Lampe's The Dragon of Wantley, which tells the tale of a drunken knight's quest to hunt a dragon terrorising the Rotherham countryside.

Witness the Society explore the conditions of 18th century musical performance, including the use of traditional period instruments. The Dragon of Wantley is rarely performed, both on the professional stage and by amateur groups, so this is a real treat for anyone, whether it be those with a keen interest in opera and early music or people looking to try something new.

Performances will take place:

On:  Wednesday 24 - Saturday 27 April

At:   7.30pm

In:   Riley Smith Hall, Leeds University Union

Tickets are priced at £6/£7 adult and £4/£5 concession, depending on which night you wish to attend.

To reserve tickets, please send an email to OperaSoc or visit their stall in the union foyer between now and Friday 26 April.
