In light of the recent opening of the Trinity Centre in Leeds, the next event in the popular Make Your Mark Networking series will focus on the changing face of the modern retail environment.

Over the last year, Leeds has seen continued investment in the city including the Trinity Centre and the impending opening of the new Leeds Arena. Research recently conducted by VisitBritain indicates that foreign travellers alone spend up to £4.5 billion a year on shopping, a huge contributor to the UK economy and a sector of growing magnitude. The economic climate may be showing some signs of recovery but with many challenges remaining, what can businesses do to increase their chances of success?

Join Nayna McIntosh, M&S Director of Store Environment & Product Presentation in exploring the changing face of the modern retail environment, and how lighting, layout, music, colour and much more can influence how and what we buy. This is a unique opportunity for business, retailers and higher education to come together in an area of mutual interest and importance for the region and its economy.

This event will take place:

On:  Friday 10 May

At:  11.45am

In:   stage@leeds

Admission is free, but please reserve your place by email.

The ‘Make Your Mark’ Networking Series brings together senior leaders from Marks & Spencer and academics from the University of Leeds to engage with a diverse audience through focused discussion around issues of topical interest.
