Next generation Portal - staff consultation

The University Portal is the "way in to everything" for current students and graduates, and is used by many staff and services to communicate with students.

The present portal software is now a little out-dated, and the Portal Team are investigating possible replacements.

A series of consultation meetings (between 16 and 24 April) have been arranged for staff to contribute their views. Do we still need a one stop shop? Is automatic sign-on to all major university systems still important? Do we still need to tailor what students see or should they be managing their own links? The Portal Team would like to hear from a range of staff in academic, administrative and support roles across the University, and to discuss possible software options.
